POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for styling and propping merchandise to enhance product and create a visual image. Review and become familiar with samples upon arrival at studio, and follow up with advertising department to obtain specific direction. Scopes of responsibilities encompass Tab work, and Non Tab projects including website visual display, brand launch, program shoots, direct mailers, seasonal graphics and packaging.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Gather information from design and photo art directors about samples to insure they are displayed to their best advantage, and that styling and/or propping instructions are obtained.
• Develop creative approach to each photographer from supplied design concepts and photo art direction. Compose style and prop samples on set for best look. Work directly with photographer on composition whenever multiple elements are displayed.
• Act as liaison between buyers to gather information on product attributes and the best way to display product. May be required to attend ad sample turn-in as directed, to obtain instruction and feedback from buyers and DMM’s. Follow-up on sample questions with buyers via phone calls when specific problems arise on set.
• Required to be trend savvy by tracking fashion forward publications. Maintain prop room to keep current and update through regular prop shopping, Design and direct the building of furniture props, and support set design.
• Review re-shoots with photo art directors to keep abreast of styling or compositional reasons for re-shots to avoid repeating. May be required to attend ad-proofing meetings.
• Provide all styling needs on set, including work directly with photographer on set composition whenever multiple elements are displayed.
• Upon receipt of samples at studio, direct and/or support organization of all samples.
• Maintain prop room to keep current and update regularly.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• College degree preferred, course work in design and photography beneficial
• Two year’s experience in Product / Fashion styling or as a visual merchandiser
• Good organizational skills
• Computer proficient on current generation Macintosh workstations
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain strict deadlines
• Oral and written skills sufficient to communicate credibly and effectively with all levels of the organization.
