Description

My client is a luxury retailer and is seeking a manager for their Las Vegas Outlet Store.

The Store Manager will manage all aspects of the Las Vegas retail store operation. The successful candidate will possess the ability to:
Manage profitability, business planning and sales forecasting
Manage a team
Manage events and promotional marketing

Ability to define strategies for maximizing sales and profits within the store.
Ability to motivate selling specialists, create loyalty to the brands and promote sell-thru
Strong negotiation skills
Strong issue resolution skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong communication skills with staff, customers, Area Manager and corporate office
Customer focus: Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Sales Generation:
Achieves annual sales targets by focusing on store associate individual performance targets, product training, inventory levels and product positioning
Analyzes available sales reports and data to determine the needs of the business and set business strategies
Sets individual sales goals for sales associates, ensuring goals reflect store business goals. Continuously motivates sales staff to meet assigned sales and productivity goals. Conducts trainings to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques in order to maximize sell-thru.
Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise; ensures selling staff is fluent in all aspects of product knowledge
Demonstrates sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the selling floor
Manages annual co-op budget – allocates resources to maximize sell-thru


Customer Service:
Ensures all associates provide the highest level of customer service
Manages client database and utilizes information to increase sales and client contact
Resolves all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
Assists sales associates with various customer service issues.

Operations:
Controls store expenses and maintains budgets, continually striving to reduce costs
Schedules associates to maintain adequate floor coverage while maintaining payroll budgets as a percentage of sales
Ensures cash control procedures are properly followed including: bank deposits, safe funds and petty cash
Communicates inventory needs to support the business goal
Monitors the movement of all inventory and ensures that staff adheres to all Shipping/Receiving policies and procedures
Meets inventory accuracy and shrink requirements. Conducts daily inventory counts and compares in-store quantities to VRP data. Reconciles all discrepancies with Area Manager and home office daily
Ensures staff is trained in all areas of appropriate register usage and maintenance
Ensures facility maintenance, presentation and organization
Builds, initiates and maintains effective and continual communication with Area Manager and members of corporate office
Human Resources:
Recruits, trains, and develops staff ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified personnel
Supports, implements and provides follow-up for all training programs, seminars, etc.
Continually evaluates the performance of each associate and provides constant feedback to ensure results
Resolves all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR when necessary
Ensures integrity of payroll and the payroll process

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Minimum of 5 years previous store management experience.
Previous experience working in a luxury retail environment required
Demonstrated ability to increase sales and build revenue and profitability
Demonstrated experience with training, developing and retaining sales staff
