Divisional Vice President/Merchandise Management (DVP/DMM/MM)
Responsibilities:
Strategically manages the merchandising and buying functions for assigned merchandise categories within a TJX division, with emphasis on the following areas:
Drives sales goals and profit objectives
Strategic business development and financial planning
Identifes and drives new business opportunities
Maintains and enhances market presence and relationships with the vendor community
Supervises, develops and trains buying staff
Provides leadership within the office
Drives the Communication and partnership with merchandising executives in other geographic locations.
Experience in a merchandise management role (DMM, MM, GMM or equivalent) within a high volume multi-unit retail organization in a fashion apparel or home fashion category.
Demonstrated skills mentoring and developing a buying team.
The ability to succesfully develop and execute a merchandising strategy.
The ability to forecast new business opportunities and identify trends.
Experience managing relationships in the market.
Outstanding leadership skills, the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization, both in person and remote.
Must be entrepreneurial minded, and comfortable taking risks.
Travel required.
