RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze and track test reports for seasonal fabrics.
Provide comments and solutions to testing issues in pre-production and bulk.
Assign proper care instructions for fabric/garment in conjunction with the
approved testing.
Resolve customer return quality issues by conducting defect analysis.
Communicate with independent labs to ensure global consistency in testing.
Educate merchants, product development and production regarding risk levels
for typical fabric and garment failures that may have an impact on the sales and/or returns.
Attend Weekly Recap Meetings (WRM).
Work with color standard service providers to coordinate and engineer
color standards.
Order and track color standards and color tools for design and merchant teams.
Review bulk lots and set up shade bands.
Store and manage digital files & lab dips of colors approved by overseas color centers.
Manage coordination of vendor color centers.
Approve lab dips.
Participate in special projects, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in fabric testing and quality control.
Ability to pass a color test.
Understanding and appreciation for aesthetics of the brand.
Working knowledge of testing equipment including a light box and spectrophotometer.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Strong problem solving abilities.
