Description
My client is looking to hire a Director of Sourcing and Product Sampling for their apparel company in Southern California near LAX off the 405. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Sourcing who oversees all development and import production.
Although the initial responsibilities will be to manage the project tracking and expediting for all product development with an emphasis on samples, the position will grow to include more development and production responsibilities and will need to be able to step in for the SVP as necessary.
Therefore, the ideal candidate has good experience in development, production and strong project and time management skills. Must have experience working with overseas vendors and previous Asia travel is a big plus.
Required experience:
At least 3 years in apparel/textiles
Experience working with overseas vendors
Project/Time management skills and experience
Development and Production experience
