Description
luxury fashion brand is looking for an organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated and highly-skilled part-time patternmaker for our high-end lingerie and loungewear collections.
job description:
• create precise first patterns which accurately reflect and support the brand’s proprietary aesthetic
• establish the proper fit of every garment through balance of pattern, construction sewing details and cutting information
• participate in garment fittings on live fit models and provide relevant technical feedback
• create accurately graded production patterns to maintain consistent fit throughout entire collection
• work at a brisk pace to meet deadlines while simultaneously ensuring that a high level of quality and fit is achieved
• work with design and production but report directly to director of design development
requirements:
• bachelor’s degree in patternmaking, fashion design or related degree
• 5-10 years patternmaking experience in foundations/intimate apparel/loungewear/ready-to-wear
• draping as well as flat patternmaking experience
• wovens as well as knits patternmaking experience
• high-end/contemporary designer experience a plus
