Planner

The Planner develops merchandise plans to support Company goals and growth objectives. She/He will provide analytical support and challenges to our buyers to maximize business opportunities.


Responsibilities:

• Partner with Vice President of Planning and Divisional Managers to develop seasonal core vendor targets that support corporate sales, margin, and turnover objectives.
• Manage monthly core vendor performance and assist buyers in evaluating issues and opportunities.
• Support VP and Divisional Managers with data and analysis. Draw conclusions about opportunities and liabilities and follow through to execution.
• Partner with VP of Planning, Buyers, and Divisional Managers to develop long-range seasonal targets. Ensure division alignment to these goals.
• Forecast sales, markdowns, and receipts and inventory to develop accurate buy meeting goals.
• Maintain profiles of standard reports and continually ensure the merchants are maximizing the effectiveness of new tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience with 3+ years of planning experience.
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.?
• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities in fast-paced environment.
