For Graphic Prints

Bold, bright, eye-catching works of art walked down the runways for Spring 2009. Diane von Furstenberg use bright abstract geometrics and florals to get her audience excited, and Miu Miu mirrored the idea with fabulous frocks in rainbows. These pieces speak for themselves, and make accessorizing easy! With a statement piece of clothing that has an all-over graphic print, simple shoes are best - throw on a pair of neutral heels and Voila! Graphic can also go the way of black & white - just look to Stella McCartney and Prada for extraordinary examples. It's a bit more toned down, and for these get-ups you can break out the patent red or hot pink satin pumps to amp it up. Get your quick fix of this trend at Topshop!

For Goddess

Everything was lightened up this spring/summer with the angelic idea of gorgeous, goddess-like numbers appearing on the catwalk. To balance the weight of the burdens we all might be feeling in "real-life" right now, YSL, Vivienne Westwood, and Jill Stuart presented flowing frocks for all to adore. In pretty pastels, the sheer fabric gave a sense of romance and ease. Grecian draping led to exposed decolletage and shoulders, for a sultry, sophisticated effect. The light, airy silhouettes are just what we need to feel beautiful and weightless, as if walking on air this season. Score something similar at Zara.
